Tao, The Authentuc Asian Cuisine

As everyone else is busying for studies and preparation, we had a birthday celebration for the 2 pretty ladies, some sort of running away from books thingy, then for a quick drink (sounds not so happening...), and a quick session of karaoke (and this is freaking awesome!) - All in Sunway Giza Mall!

Too much to share about the parties in facebook, I'm here to share 'bout F.O.O.D! Special thanks to Mr Choo for the table reservation for 10, a buffet dinner it is, RM62++ per person and extra 10% off if you manage to catch the early bird session (05:30pm - 07:00pm). Yes, they made it the earlier one, Wei Sin, baby and I got there a bit late, kinda lost track to the photography craze so I decided to blog 'bout food instead of pictures :)

Tao - Authentic Asian Cuisine
As they serve Japanese sashimi and sushi, we seriously thought that it's a Japanese buffet and was teasing 'bout the 'Mamak' style chicken wings, our bad.
Price:
Service:
Food:
Comments: Few sections they have there (the buffet style) and also ala-carte menu to be ordered separately, I would say the pricing is fair enough.
As for services, if it's the only buffet dinner, no one will bother about your services but hello? You have an ala-carte menu and we were allocated at the corner table which hardly to be noticed, need to walk out to get the waitress. Ordered scallops FEW times (approximately 4 times) came only twice - Disappointed!
Food, after all, not too bad, we'll discuss a bit in the following :)

Mix  & Match
No idea what to name this picture, they have jelly fish, scallop lips, seaweeds and stuff, serve chilled with seasonings.
Appetizers
Fresh vegetables and vegetables only. Not that much of variety they have there.
Desserts
 Fruits, jelly, and sliced cakes.
Soups with All Sorts of Meatballs
Longans with White Fungus
 Served warm, another dessert corner.
Burning Teppanyaki
You may choose what you want, and they'll do the rest for you, provided that you have to give them your table number. We gave ours, but no teppanyaki shows up, so we don't get to taste, you don't get to promote, fair!
Chocolate Fountain
With no marshmallows and strawberries. Well I might be too picky for this but aren't things supposed to be like that? They just have it flowing non-stop so people serve this over their ice creams, some kinds of McD Choco Top?
Sashimi
Look empty, I wasn't late for this snap but everytime they refill, those sashimi will just gone missing in less than minutes.
Sushi
Almost everything there, except for my salmon sushi :(
Room for Group
We took the one which fits 10, better stay low as this is no sound proof room!
Oysters
I like the effect of light they put it under the ice, the oysters somehow look fresh with it!
As usual, baby will  be crazy over oysters, tobasco, and lemon squeeze, like 20 of them!
Prawns
Lemon sliced for everything, prawn, cooked but I didn't try it...

Tomatoes
This is Sweet (as baby claimed)! And it's extraordinarily sweet!
Us in the Romantic Scene
Messy Take-Off
Grilled Prawn
Grilled Squid
Fresh Oysters
Sashimi
These somehow feel different, they don't taste so 'gao' in either piece. It's like, tuna is not so tuna, salmon is not so salmon. But, we still took quite a lot, just so obsessed!
Platter
A bit dry for the duck sliced but nice! Seaweed has heavy taste as well, slightly spicy.
Edamame
Not so fresh, very hard to get that peas out of the wrapper! Too much of crystal salts over 'em. Still a Sushi Zanmai Edamame Fan!
Secret Recipe Scallop
Very tasty! It tastes more like those mentai they have in most of the Japanese restaurants, this is a bit spicy, but creamy and good on the other hand! Fantabulous!
As mentioned earlier, we order 4 times, but turn out only two sets were served. Well if we were told nicely that's fine but none of them update us what's going on with our order, so, disappointment!

Yummy yum yum creamy scallop!!!
Cheesy Oyster
Unlike the one we had in The Mill, instead of cooked oyster, they have it fresh and top up only the cheesy serving, Nice! Cheesy, milky, they mix it up with tiny diced carrots as well, very tasty!

Cheesy and creamy, how could you resist!

Last but not least, I would like to thank a waitress named June, who served us throughout the time with patience and passion. She can barely speak English but whatever we requested for, is duly served. Should have just ordered those scallops from her to skip that disappointing part. A big Thank You!

That's all for food, and yes, I still owe you the Universal Studio Singapore post. Coming up next, in Nee Yaa's Ordinary!
