Bangkok, Thailand (I)

Sa-wa-di-ka! Finally my Bangkok post is up! My sincere apologies to my dearest 'felen' for being this late, been really lazy lately! But this post is mostly on Thai food plus a little bit of shopping, few bits of group pictures and more in my FB :) We booked the air ticket a bit too late! Well it's a last minute decision on pampering us the pity exam candidates - Taiwan is a bit too far to handle - Bangkok it is! Shopping, food, and massage paradise! What more we can ask ;)

Let me recall a bit of the trip. First day, we touched down Bangkok airport. Special thanks to Uncle W for picking us up and dropping us down to our hotel - MANY THANKS! Settled down, we wandered around for food and shopping, of course! It was the Baiyoke Boutique Hotel (Note: Definitely not the Baiyoke Sky Hotel kay?!), somewhere around Phaya Thai Station, we found Indra Square! As J was planning to go somewhere in the main town, hunger held us back! So, for the first day, Indra Square!

DAY 1
Chicken Fried Rice
I tell you, when hunger strikes, no joke, every food is so heavenly! But in fact, this plate is really damn good in taste! I think because they prefer sugar than salt for cooking?!
Thai Style Wan-Tan with Plum Sauce
Hmm.. As I said, they prefer sweet, plus it's not of the sweet and sour side, this is not our type ;x
Tom Yam Kung
PERFECTO! This huge bowl here really, really, really, BEST! I don't know what word to use to describe this, we even came back again for the very same bowl on the last day! Full flavour of tom yam, thickness of san-tan, fresh seafood and vegetable. Aiyoyoyo... I'm going back to Bangkok, soon!
Pork Noodle
Slightly on the plain side, too hungry to judge! :D
Shrimp Fried Rice
Ordered another style of fried rice, too good!
Tomato Style Spaghetti
This is very sweet! Weird feeling as we used to take only salty food.
Mango Sticky Rice
Gosh, another heavenly piece! I tell you never ever miss Thailand mangoes! Sweet Max! Pairing with the great aroma of sticky rice - Yum-yum-yummmmm!
Special Design Baiyoke Boutique Hotel Water Bottle
I think this is supposed to be Baiyoke Sky Hotel's bottle, as you can see it's tower-like bottle... Hmm... We always ask from kakak for more :D

Pumped ourselves with energy, we walked around to find BTS station to go Siam. And Thailand is now so systematic! There are helpers everywhere, in the station even on the road! They taught us to switch station and sounded so complicated, so we decided to ask one ang-moh! His way of reaching there is kinda, simple - Take a cab! Haha very straightforward! Too bad it was raining so BTS it is - Ratchaprarop - Phaya Thai - Siam!
The Leng Lui-s
Arriving Siam Paragon, walked around then proceed to Siam Centre, then to Siam Discovery, shop shop a bit...
Chrysanthemum Slushee
A 711 found! Looking for slurpee to crunch the thirst but none was found. So we thought this Slushee would be it but it's all 'leong-cha' flavouring. Something special and gave it a try - Sweet daooooo!
The Gang
Taking a break in Siam Centre, found these fancy bean-like chairs, sit down and took some pictures ;)
Another One!
Saw this huge mirror! Another group photo ;) All of us seem empty-handed, and that's when the no-shopping-imbalance symptom strikes in! We hunt further :D
MBK Shopping Center
Walking distance from Siam BTS Station, getting dark, meaning dinner time soon. What to eat?
Thailang BBQ Plaza
The very own Thailand's BBQ Plaza! I've tried once in M'sia, a quick one just 'tumpang' my friend's table a while so to be precise, this is my first time tasting it. Lots of my friends are addicted to this steamboat, which I don't know why...
Serviette & Ads
BBQ Specialized Sauce
According to the gang, there's nothing different than M'sia ones, good that they maintain the genuineness!

Alright! That's for Day 1! Coming up next for Day 2! Stay tuned! :)
